10-word summary: Definitely very interesting. Fantasy and history make a good combination!

Rating: 5 Stars

Review: This book was very enjoyable to read! It combines history, fantasy and some pretty good action. It was sort of funny, and very fantastical. It features ghost knight Sir Longspee and little boy Oliver. It has a good plot including Oliver going to boarding school and family issues. These may sound serious but author Cornelia Funke puts some good humor into them! Definitely would read again and I strongly recommend this to everyone!

Favorite quotation: "They'd brought back new supplies for the illegal candy stash, and Stu wanted to hear about only one thing: why Ella Littlejohn and I had been caught by a priest in the cathedral on Saturday morning. Why do you think? I asked tetchily, throwing myself onto my bed. We had a rendezvous with a ghost!" Page 129
