Review: In this sequel to Cinder the story of Little Red Riding Hood is featured as Scarlet, a small town farmer in the French countryside meets the mysterious street fighter Wolf in a search to find her missing grandmother, Michelle Benoit. They travel to the city of Paris, suspecting she's been kidnapped by an enigmatic and vicious gang. Meanwhile, Cinder and Captain Carswell Thorne fly to Europe in hope of finding clues about Cinder's past. And in the Eastern Commonwealth Prince now Emperor Kai tries to protect Earth from Queen Levana's wrath. All in all, this is an amazing sequel with as much excitement as the first book, but now with more interesting characters and more and more endless mystery.
Favorite quotation: A relieved grin filled up Thorne’s face. “We’re having another moment, aren’t we?” “If by a moment, you mean me not wanting to strangle you for the first time since we met, then I guess we are.”
