Review: Raisa ana Mariana and Hanson Alister's views find each other after being exiled from the queendom of the Fells. Bothe characters go to Oden's Ford, an elite military and magical academy. Raisa goes to the military academy under the guise of a cadet from the fells in order to escape the pressing situation at home. Hanson goes to the magical academy to train for his forced role as the magical mercenary of the spirit clans. This is a great read, but read the first book first, otherwise this one won't make any sense.

Favorite quotation: "'I was there near every month," Cat said, slathering her bread with butter. 'she means once a month, on the day they gave out cinnamon bread'" Chima 287.
