Student Review: Rocks Fall Everyone Dies

Rating: 5 stars Review: I thought this book was amazing and I almost put this down in the comedy genre because it has so many funny jokes and hidden references. The main character, Aspen, of the Quick family which is notorious in the town of Three Peaks. All members of the Quick family have the power to steal anything. They have the power to reach into your mind and to steal something like a memory, an urge, something like a sunburn or a scar, or even someone's sobriety. The Quick family conducts rituals at the base of the cliff using items from under the may day tree which people don't care about any more. The may day tree is a tree worshiped by the town; It feeds off the loss of those who put their precious belongings under it and it is the job of the triad ritual to destroy all items that are no longer cared about. Favorite quotation: "Well, make no mistake about this: If I catch you trying to steal my stuff again, or anyone else's stuff for that matter, I will cut off one of your extremities and I will make you eat it. And you don't get to chose which one. Got that?" pg. 74
