Review by: Sophia B. Author: Sara Shepard Number of pages: 450 pages 10-word summary: Would recommend reading, blander than the show, yet still great. Rating: 4 stars Review: If you haven't read or seen the show before reading this book it might be confusing, by the time you have reached Emily's story it all plays out. The characters have all the same traits, but their family and friend lives are different than the show. There wasn't a lot of action, and the secrets that they keep aren't extremely terrible, in my opinion. The book overall just sounds like the writer was burnt out of ideas, but it still was interesting to see the main books and how the plot is. Favorite quotation: "Every other car on the Northeast Extension was packed full or prettily wrapped gifts, cases of wine, and maybe a frozen ham or a fruitcake. The Montgomery vehicle, on the other hand, contained three yoga mats, incense burners, a jug of homemade mead Byron had brewed in the basement, and a large splintery Yule log."- Page 236
