The only reason this book is four stars not five is because the ending is so sad. Adeline find a way to get revenge for the torture of all malfetos, all while trying to resist the darkness whispering in her ear, trying to make her go insane. This was one of the best books I have ever read. Favorite quotation: "I force a smile onto my face.
