Review by: Bella C.J. (Period 2) Author: Annie Barrows Number of pages: 211 pages

10-word summary: Miri meets Molly when she travels back in time on accident. Rating: 4 stars Review: It grabs your attention by starting with backstory. Her parents had two sets of twins. Everyone always are impressed by them, but their eyes always gloss right over Miri. So Miri is upset that she never gets the attention her siblings get. Then she and her parents move out of Manhatten to a smaller town. While in her new room, she finds glasses lenses taped to the wall. When she looks through them, she finds another girl 100s of years ago living in that house. The girl, Molly, lives with her abusive aunt and cousins. She claims that she had summoned Miri and that she was a fairy coming to save her from her family. Miri tries bringing them both back, but the lenses wont work anymore. Eventually, Miri looks through her own broken lenses and is transported back to her own time. Now Miri has come to the conclusion that Molly's lenses bring her to the past, and Miri's brings her to the present. Molly's cousin Horst is nasty and mean towards her. He even steals from the other townsfolk. Molly and Miri decide they need to scare Horst away for good. All they need now is a plan. Favorite quotation: "Wow. Whoever owned these glasses had really terrible eyesight, thought Miri."
